SCURTA BIOGRAFIE—Sandra Pralong

Dupa o adolescenta petrecuta in Romania, studii in Elvetia, Franta si Statele Unite, si o viata profesionala care o poarta de la Paris la New York, Sandra Pralong se intoarce la Bucuresti in 1990 pentru a pune bazele Fundatiei Soros si a permite astfel romanilor sa beneficieze de bursele si programele fundatiei. Urmeaza apoi 2 ani ca si Consilier la Cotroceni sub mandatul Presedintelui Constantinescu, o cariera in sistemul Natiunilor Unite si lansarea unei fundatii care calauzeste tinerii romani spre etica si civilitate. La 20 de ani de la intoarcere, Sandra Pralong coordonaza volumul “De ce m-am intors in Romania” pentru a permite unor personalitati sa-si astearna in scris motivele revenirii si impresiile despre “acasa”.

Sandra PRALONG is a civil society activist and communications specialist. A founder of the SynergEtica Foundation, which empowers youth to explore ethics and civility, Sandra is also the founder of Synergy Communications, an agency specialized in strategic advice for clients such as Renault Automotive, Erste Bank, Google, Berlitz as well as the UN, OECD, the World Bank, the EU Delegation, etc.

A former director of Newsweek magazine in New York, Ms Pralong returned to her native Romania in 1990 to set up and manage the Soros Foundation.

Between 1998 and 2000, Ms Pralong was an advisor to the President of Romania, and after 2002, she joined the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the regional communications advisor for the 27 former communist countries.

Sandra Pralong holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, with distinction, from Sciences Po in Paris, a Master of Arts in International Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School in Boston, a Master of Philosophy degree from Columbia University in New York, and a “Diplome d’Etudes Supperieures” in Business Administration, from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Sandra Pralong writes extensively on ethics, civil society and culture. This Spring she published a collective volume “De ce m-am intors in Romania?” (Polirom) with the stories of 39 successful returnees, such as Neagu Djuvara, Radu Florescu, Gheorghe Zamfir, Mihaela Mihai, Mariana Nicolesco, Dan Chisu, Leonard Doroftei, etc.

    merci, m-am lamurit , de la fundatia soros incolo nici nu am mai citit;
    auzisem de dvs.aseara la Antena 3 , va cita un absolvent de Stanfort si actual cursant la Harvard
