Sandra’s work în civil society programs is impressive. In 2008, she was named Ambassador of Goodwill for the European Year of Inter-Cultural Dialogue.

Sandra Pralong is the founder of SynergEtica, a foundation that seeks to empower Romania’s youth, and of an agency specialized în strategic advice for corporate clients.

An international media executive (Newsweek, CNN) and civil society activist, Sandra returned to her native Romania în 1990 to set up and manage the Soros Foundation for an Open Society, designing over 200 programs în civil society development, democracy building, human rights, education, independent media, arts and culture, etc.

Between 1998 and 2000, Sandra Pralong has been an advisor to the President of Romania, responsible for Relations with Romanians Abroad and International Communications. After 2002 she became the regional communications advisor of the United Nations Development Programme în the 27 countries of East and Central Europe and the Former Soviet Union.
In 2008 Sandra was named Ambassador of Goodwill for the European Year of Inter-Cultural Dialogue and în 2009 she initiated în Bucharest the Embassy of the Arts to promote Romania’s cultural contributions to Europe.

Sandra Pralong has written extensively on civil society, transition and development. She holds a Doctorate în Political Science from Sciences Po în Paris, a Master of Arts în Interna?ional Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston, and a Master of Philosophy degree from Columbia University in New York.

Dup? carier? început? la Newsweek în New York în 1985, Sandra Pralong se întoarce în România la începutul anilor 1990, unde pune bazele Funda?iei pentru o Societate Deschis?, cunoscut? ?i c? Funda?ia Soros.

Între 1990 -1993 Sandra a lucrat cu CNN, în Europa de Est, la CNN WORLD REPORT, unde a scris, produs ?i transmis ?tiri, iar în 1993 lanseaz? Transnews—primul schimb de ?tiri video al Europei Centrale ?i de Est, din partea Internews ?i Funda?iei Soros.
Între 1998 ?i 2000, Sandra Pralong a fost Consiliera Pre?edintelui României, responsabil? pentru Comunicare Interna?ional? ?i Rela?ia cu Romanii de Pretutindeni. Dup? 2002 a devenit responsabil regional de comunicare pentru cele 27 de tari din Europa ?i fosta Uniune Sovietic? a Programului Na?iunilor Unite pentru Dezvoltare (PNUD).
Din 2006, Sandra Pralong este pre?edintele Funda?iei SynergEtica, organiza?ie neguvernamental?, care î?i propune s? sus?in? crearea unei societ??i romane?ti prospere, unde integritatea, respectul ?i dreptatea sunt valori fundamentale ale identit??ii sale.
Sandra Pralong a publicat numeroase lucr?ri în domeniul eticii ?i a dezvolt?rii societ??ii civile. A ob?inut Doctoratul în ?tiin?e Politice de la “Sciences Po” din Paris, are un Master în Drept Interna?ional ?i Diploma?ie de la Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy din Boston ?i un Master în Filozofie Politic? de la Columbia University din New York. În 2008 a fost numit? Ambasador al Anului European al Dialogului Inter-Cultural, iar în 2009 creaz?, la Bucure?ti, Ambasada Artelor, un proiect care promoveaz? contribu?ia culturii române în Europa.
